It wasn’t Manitoba’s day in Toronto.

The home town Marlies dominated from beginning to end leading to a 9-0 win on Sunday afternoon in a game played at the Air Canada Centre.

The Marlies had at least one point from 16 of their 18 dressed forwards and defencemen led by Josh Leivo who had a four point game with one goal and three assists.

The AHL’s leading scorer William Nylander had three points with a goal and two assists and now has 29 points (13G, 16A) in 22 games this season.

Jussi Olkinuora made his season debut in net for the Moose making 25 saves. It was his first game since being called up by the Moose from Tulsa of the ECHL on Nov. 22.

John Albert had his three game goal scoring streak snapped.

The nine goals by the Marlies marked the largest margin of defeat for the Moose in franchise history.

The Moose will now return home after the six game road trip and will now play a four game home stand beginning on Saturday, Dec. 12 against the Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m. at the MTS Centre. Fans are reminded to bring new or gently used stuffed toys that night for the Teddy Bear Toss.
