Jets re-assign Armia to Moose
By: CK Nakhwal | Published: December 12th 2015The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have re-assigned forward Joel Armia to the Moose.
Armia, 22, had been called up by the Jets on Nov. 23, but did not play any games with Winnipeg. Before being called up, Armia had played 15 games for the Manitoba Moose, recording seven points (3G, 4A) and 16 penalty minutes. Armia was acquired by the Jets last February in a multi-player trade with the Buffalo Sabres. Armia was originally drafted by the Sabres in the first round, 16th overall, at the 2011 NHL Draft.
Armia is expected to be in the lineup for tonight's Moose game at the MTS Centre when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m.
A reminder to fans that tonight is the Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to donate stuffed toys which will be thrown onto the ice during the first intermission.
