The Manitoba Moose will play their first of eight meetings this season against the Iowa Wild at the MTS Centre. This is the first ever meeting between the Moose and Wild.

Hot at Home:

The last home stand for the Manitoba Moose was their most successful of the season posting a record of 3-0-0-1. They had a win over the Milwaukee Admirals followed by a tight loss in a shootout on Dec. 12 & 13.  They followed that with a pair of wins over the San Antonio Rampage on Dec. 16 & 17. Their recent success at the MTS Centre has improved their record at home to 5-5-1-1. In their last seven games at home the Moose have a record of 5-1-0-1. Tonight kicks off a critical eight game home stand for the Moose which will see Iowa, Grand Rapids, Toronto and Lake Erie visit the MTS Centre for two games each.

Comrie at Home:

Goaltender Eric Comrie has been excellent at the MTS Centre this season compiling a 5-1-1 record along with a 1.83 goals against average and a .939 save percentage. He has not lost a game in regulation at home since Oct. 24 against the Lake Erie Monsters.

Brassard Red Hot:

Forward Austen Brassard added another goal to his season totals in the final game before the break against the Wolves. The native of Windsor, Ontario has now scored at least one point in his last five games. He has scored a goal in consecutive games and now has five points (2G, 3A) in his last four games.

AHL Player of the Week:

Iowa goaltender Jeremy Smith comes into this series having won his last two games. He stopped a total of 52 of 54 shots and earned AHL Player of the Week honours. It was the first team award for the Wild this season. So far this season, Smith a native of Dearborn, Michigan has a 3-10-2 record with a 3.04 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.
