Game Story
The Manitoba Moose (1-1-1) took to the ice at the MTS Centre for their home opener on Tuesday night as they hosted the Bakersfield Condors (1-0-0). The Condors drew first blood as Jujhar Khaira opened the scoring at the 15:53 mark in the first.  Less than two minutes later, Scott Kosmachuk finished a between the legs pass from Marko Dano to score his first of the season. Chase De Leo drew the second assist on the powerplay goal.  Eric Comrie was busy, turning away 12 of 13 Condors shots.

The second frame featured two goals from Bakersfield. The first came at the 6:15 mark of the period as Scott Allen potted an unassisted goal. The Condors found the back of the net on a late powerplay with 1:01 left as Khaira scored his second of the game while Beck grabbed another assist. Joey Laleggia registered the second assist on the goal.

It was a parade to the penalty box for both teams in the third frame.  At 2:47 Brendan Lemieux and Patrick Russell dropped the gloves. The Moose and Condors kept the time keepers busy as the two teams combined for 44 penalty minutes in the final period, including ten minute misconducts to Manitoba’s Lemieux and Bakersfield’s Mark Fraser at the 18:11 mark

The Condors extended their lead to 4-1 at 17:23 when Joey Benick potted an empty netter.
