As a part of Gender Equality Month and in conjunction with their Gender Equality game on Saturday, March 12th, the Manitoba Moose are excited to launch the Women in Sport Job Shadow Program. This two-day program is designed to introduce women and girls to the various roles within the sports industry, create new professional networks and develop confidence and professional communication skills in the hopes of helping further advance them in the career planning process.

Who should apply?

  • Must self-identify as a female
  • Must be of 16 years or older
  • Must be a resident of Manitoba
  • Must be able to provide proof of vaccination
  • Must be able to commit to the two days scheduled (March 11th & March 12th)

Program Breakdown:

Friday, March 11th – Program Lunch

12:15 pm Arrive at and tour the new True North Sports + Entertainment office
12:45 pm Lunch with female staff members of the Manitoba Moose
1:30 pm Presentation and networking opportunity with various departments across the organization
2:30 pm Professional headshot session
3:00 pm Resume workshop with TNSE Human Resources
3:30 pm End of day recap & game day preparations
4:00 pm Departure

Saturday, March 12th – Moose Game Day

2:30 pm Arrive at and tour Canada Life Centre, including Manitoba Moose locker room and photo opportunity at ice level.
3:30 pm Press box meal
4:30 pm to end of game Station through and witness various departments’ game day tasks leading up to, during and after the game including marketing, digital content, communications, broadcasting, game production and more.
9:30 (est.) End of program debrief
