The Manitoba Moose face the Milwaukee Admirals for their third of eight meetings this season. This will be the first meeting between these two teams at the MTS Centre. The Moose have gone 2-0-0 against the Admirals this season at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Teddy Bear Toss:

Tonight is the Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are reminded to bring stuffed toys with them to the game. During the first intermission fans will be prompted to throw their stuffed toys onto the ice.

Previous Season Meetings:

The Moose and Admirals faced off twice this season in Milwaukee. Both games were close through 60 minutes, but the Moose were able to outlast the Marlies to take both games. The Moose defeated the Marlies 3-2 on October 29. Defenceman, Brenden Kitchton (3G, 8A) scored the game-winning goal off a pass from Joel Armia (3G, 4A). In the second meeting between the two teams, Captain John Albert (3G, 2A) scored with 2:44 left in the second frame. Manitoba goalies have stood strong between the pipes in both appearances against Milwaukee stopping 69 of 73 shots on goal. One start has been Connor Hellebuyck (now with the Jets) and one was Eric Comrie.

Last Meeting in Winnipeg:

The last time the Moose and Admirals played a game in Winnipeg was on Jan. 15, 2011 which was 1,792 days ago. The Admirals were able to pull out a 3-2 overtime victory that night. In overtime the game winning goal was assisted by current Moose forward Matt Halischuk. The Toronto native was named the third star that night for Milwaukee with his one assist and a plus-two rating.

Moose on home ice:

Saturday night’s game will be the first time the Moose have played at the MTS Centre since November 22. The Moose have gone 2-5-1 at home this season, but have won two out of their last three home games. The matchup against the Admirals will be the first game of their current four game home stand. The Moose have 30 home games remaining this season, eight of which occur over a two week span from Dec 31-Jan 13.

Back in Action:

Moose forward Joel Armia will be back in the lineup on Saturday night against the Admirals. Armia was re-assigned to the Moose by the Winnipeg Jets Saturday morning. Armia has put up seven points with the Moose this season (3G, 4A). This is Armia’s fourth season playing in the AHL.
