The Moose came out to a strong start on Saturday night and despite letting the first goal go to the Milwaukee Admirals, Manitoba kept setting the pace.

That consistency in effort paid off as Manitoba scored three straight goals from Julian Melchiori, Matt Fraser and Chase De Leo to lead to a 3-2 victory.

For Melchiori and Fraser their first goals of the season came at a big time for the Club.

De Leo scored for the fourth time this season and continues to lead all Moose rookies in scoring. He is only one point behind the team’s leading scorer JC Lipon in scoring. De Leo has four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 22 games this season.

The Moose fed off an energetic crowd who were eager to throw their stuffed toys onto the ice as part of Teddy Bear Toss night presented by Red River Co-op.

A record number of 2,330 stuffed toys made their way onto the ice as part of the Teddy Bear Toss. All the stuffed toys collected during the first intermission will be donated to the Christmas Cheer Board to help those in need this holiday season.

The Moose have now won three out of their last four home games.

Eric Comrie played a big part of the win yet again for the Moose as he was named the game’s first star with a 30 save performance.

The Moose will play the rematch against the Admirals on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the MTS Centre.
