The Manitoba Moose ended their four game home stand in style on Sunday afternoon with a big 3-1 win over the Bakersfield Condors.

JC Lipon opened the scoring in the first period, his team leading fifth goal of the season off a great pass from Joel Armia.

The Condors responded and tied things up late in the period on a powerplay goal by Anton Slepyshev.

The Moose didn’t let the late goal carry over to the next period as Manitoba continued to battle through hard work and determination which would eventually pay off.

Scott Kosmachuk sent a perfect float pass across the ice to Austen Brassard who deked and beat Bakersfield Condors netminder Laurent Brossoit to extend his point streak to three games.

Kosmachuk wasn’t done there as he scored an insurance marker in the third period on a one-timer from Brenden Kichton. For Kosmachuk it was his first multi-point game of the season, while Kichton built on his team lead in points as he now has 10 points (3G, 7A) in 15 games this season.

Eric Comrie was excellent in net making 32 saves for his second straight win.

Thomas Raffl returned to the lineup for the first time since being injured in the season opener on Oct. 9.

The Moose are heading out on a six game road trip which begins in Cleveland against the Lake Erie Monsters on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
