Chicago hasn’t been friendly to the Moose this season.

The Wolves defeated the Moose for the fourth straight time at the Allstate Arena this season with a 4-1 win on Monday night.

Austen Brassard scored the lone goal for the Moose pulling them within one in the second period but that was as close as Manitoba would get.

Brassard extended his point streak to four games and has goals in two consecutive games.

Chicago had goals from some usual culprits in Phil Cannone, Jeremy Welsh, Ivan Barbashev and Ty Rattie who ended an empty netter to seal the Wolves win. Those four along with Wolves leading scorer Andre Benoit have now combined for 14 goals and 28 points between them in six games against Manitoba.

By comparison the entire Moose roster has scored 10 goals and 24 points against the Wolves this season.

Eric Comrie was strong in net despite allowing three goals on 28 shots.

The Wolves now lead the season series 5-0-0-1 against the Moose this season. The two teams will play the final two games of their regular season series on Feb. 13 & 14 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

The Moose now enter their holiday break and will be back in action on New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day when they host the Iowa Wild at the MTS Centre.
