It was another tight battle in the season series between the Moose and the Wild on Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Arena.

This time it was the Moose who pulled out an impressive 3-2 victory.

Following a scoreless first period, Brenden Kichton opened the scoring for the Moose with a slap shot from the point.

The goal extended his point streak to four games by scoring his 10th goal of the season. In his last six games he has four goals and three assists for seven points as he moves into a tie for 10th among all AHL defencemen in scoring.

Darik Angeli scored his first career AHL goal as he picked up his first points as a member of the Moose with a goal and an assist in the contest.

Patrice Cormier had the game winning goal with just over five minutes to play in the third period when he scored on the powerplay.

Iowa had goals from Zac Dalpe and Colton Beck, both coming in the third period.

Connor Hellebuyck was superb in goal once again making 31 saves. He won his fifth straight start for the Moose and now has a 1.40 goals against average and a .951 save percentage in those five games.

Manitoba has won two straight and four out of their last five games.

The Moose will play the Wild for the eighth and final time this season this Friday, Apr. 1 at the Wells Fargo Arena at 7 p.m. CT.
