It was a night the Moose offence had been waiting for.

Manitoba’s scoring broke out in a big way on Wednesday night when they hosted the San Antonio Rampage at the MTS Centre.

The Moose scored a season high five goals in a 5-1 victory including three goals alone in the third period.

Patrice Cormier (1G, 1A), Matt Fraser (1G, 1A), Nic Petan (1G, 1A) and Brenden Kichton (0G, 2A) each had multi point games for Manitoba.

For Cormier, Fraser and Petan it was their first multi-point games this season while Kichton recorded his third multi-point game this season in his first game back in the Moose lineup after missing the last four games due to injury.

The Moose also had goals from Matt Halischuk and Scott Kosmachuk while San Antonio’s lone goal was from Mikko Rantanen.

The Moose went a perfect 2-for-2 on the powerplay and killed off all five of San Antonio’s powerplay opportunities.

Adam Lowry made his Moose debut after being re-assigned by the Winnipeg Jets earlier in the day. He recorded an assist and four shots while adding a significant physical presence.

Eric Comrie made 22 saves in the win as the Moose outshot the Rampage 36-23. Winnipeg native Calvin Pickard allowed five goals on 36 shots in net for the Rampage.

Comrie has now gone 2-0-1 in his last three starts and has a 1.95 goals against average and a .935 save percentage during that span.

The Moose are now 4-1-0-1 at home in their last six games at MTS Centre.

These two teams will play a rematch Thursday night at the MTS Centre, the final time the Rampage will play in Winnipeg during the regular season at 7 p.m.
