Jets Recall Comrie, Moose Add Phinney
By: Manitoba Moose Staff | Published: March 14th 2018Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Jets announced today that they have recalled goaltender Eric Comrie from the Manitoba Moose. Meanwhile the Moose have recalled goaltender Colton Phinney from the Indy Fuel (ECHL).
Comrie, 22, has played in 31 games for the Moose this season and has a 17-11-3 record with two shutouts, a 2.56 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. The Edmonton, Alberta native made his second career NHL start on Dec. 7/17 at Florida and made 30 saves in a 6-4 loss. This is Comrie's fifth season seeing AHL action and he has a 51-65-16 record in 133 games, including six shutouts, a 2.95 GAA and a .908 SV%.
Phinney, 24, owns a 5-8-2 record with a 3.29 goals against average and a 0.888 save percentage in 22 appearances split between Indy and Jacksonville this season. Prior to his professional career, the Chatham, N.J. native spent four seasons at Princeton University where he played in 110 games, compiling a record of 27-74-9 with a 3.10 goals against average and 0.912 save percentage.
