The Manitoba Moose (14-26-1-1) clash with the Texas Stars (26-15-3-0) tonight in a rematch of Sunday's 4-2 Moose victory. Dylan Coghlan scored twice, for the second consecutive game, to help Manitoba to its second straight win. The Stars saw a four-game point streak snapped by the loss.

Messin’ With Texas
Ben King recorded a goal and an assist in Wednesday’s win over Texas. The Vernon, B.C. product has registered five points (3G, 2A) in four appearances against the Stars this season, accounting for 33 percent of his total offensive production. Two of his three multi-point games this season came against Texas, having recorded two points (1G, 1A) in Cedar Park on Nov. 10/24. King also recorded his first career multi-goal game against the Stars, while skating with the San Diego Gulls during the 2023-24 season. King has registered 15 points (8G, 7A) this season, and is tied for third on the Moose in goals.
Quick Out of the Blocks
Dylan Coghlan recorded two goals in the first period of Wednesday night’s game, picking up his second straight multi-goal game. It marked his second straight game scoring twice in the first period. Coghlan’s second goal of the game was the 50th tally of his AHL career. The Duncan, B.C. product has five points (4G,1A) through his past two games with the Moose, and leads all Manitoba defenceman with six goals. Coghlan has recorded eight points (6G, 2A) in 12 appearances with the club. His 0.67 points per game lead all Manitoba skaters. Despite his limited action in the AHL, Coghlan is ranked 15th among AHL defencemen in goals. He previously lead AHL blueliners with 16 goals during the 2023-24 season.
Taking Advantage
Manitoba’s power play is red hot, scoring on four of its past six opportunities. The Moose recorded multiple power play goals in back-to-back games for the first time this season, scoring twice against Iowa on Sunday and Texas on Wednesday. A total of 11 different Moose skaters have scored on the power play during the campaign so far, and five players have registered multiple power play markers. Parker Ford stands at the top of the leaderboard with four power play goals, and Dylan Coghlan is close behind with three, having recorded one in each of the team’s past two games. Coghlan also ranks 10th among AHL defenceman in power play goals.
Three in Two
Axel Jonsson-Fjällby scored his sixth goal of the season in Wednesday’s win over Texas, recording his third goal through his past two games. This marks the second time this season the Swedish forward has recorded goals in back-to-back games. Jonsson-Fjällby ranks fifth on the Moose roster with 17 points (6G, 11A) on the campaign. He is one of just two Manitoba skaters to play in each of the club’s first 42 games, alongside Mason Shaw.

Simon Lundmark posted an assist in Wednesday’s win over Texas. The Stockholm, Sweden product has recorded 10 points (2G, 8A) this season. He ranks third among Manitoba defenders in both points and assists and is one of four Moose blueliners with multiple goals this season. Lundmark was a second round pick of the Winnipeg Jets in 2019.
