Heading to Cali

Elias Salomonsson will represent the Moose at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic, becoming the second rookie defenceman in Moose franchise history to be named to an AHL All-Star roster. The Swedish defender has recorded 12 points (3G, 9A) in 17 appearances this season, and leads all Moose defencemen in assists and points. Salomonsson leads the Moose and ranks fourth among AHL rookie defencemen with an average of 0.71 points per game. The Winnipeg Jets 2022 second round draft pick is the only Moose defenceman to have registered a multi-goal game this season, and one of just three skaters to do so. He also leads all Manitoba skaters in power play points (2G, 5A).

Rack ‘Em Up

Parker Ford scored his third goal in as many games in the third period of Wednesday’s game. The Providence College alum is the first Moose skater to record a goal in three consecutive games this season. It also marks the longest goal streak of his career. Ford co-leads the team with seven goals, alongside Mason Shaw. The winger remains the only Manitoba skater to have recorded multiple unassisted, and multiple shorthanded goals this season. Ford previously recorded 18 goals as a rookie with the Moose during the 2023-24 season.

The Cardiac Kids

Manitoba’s overtime winner against Milwaukee on Wednesday came with 0.6 seconds left in the extra frame. Of the 69 goals scored by the Moose this season, 11 have been recorded in the final two minutes of the period. Nikita Chibrikov and Mason Shaw have each recorded three goals in the final two minutes of a frame, with all three of Chibrikov’s late tallies coming late in the third period. Dylan Anhorn has recorded two of his three goals this season in the final seconds of a period; he recorded the overtime winner on Wednesday, and scored with 11 seconds left in the middle frame, on Nov. 13 against Milwaukee.

Memorable Night

Dylan Anhorn scored the overtime-winner in Wednesday’s win; the first overtime goal of his AHL career. The former St. Cloud State captain also captured his first career multi-point game in the outing, posting a goal and an assist. Anhorn is currently riding a four-game point streak; the longest by any Moose defender this season. He becomes one of just three Moose skaters to record a point streak of four games or longer this season, alongside Mason Shaw and Chaz Lucius. Anhorn is currently tied for fourth among AHL rookie defencemen in goals, and is one of just four rookie defenders to have recorded an overtime goal.
