After picking up a 4-1 win over the Texas Stars before 5,500 fans yesterday afternoon, the Moose try to make it two straight today. It's Poster Giveaway day at Canada Life Centre as the first 3,000 fans through the doors take home a team poster. Tickets for the 2 p.m. matchup are available at MooseHockey.com/TICKETS.

November Hot Streak

Austin Poganski has been on an absolute tear for the month of November. In yesterday’s game against the Texas Stars, the forward had a pair of assists in a 4-1 Moose home win. Poganski’s hot streak has seen him record 10 points (2G, 8A) in 10 games in November. The forward is up to 12 points (3G, 9A) in 17 games this season. His career high in the AHL is 31 points (9G, 22A) in 59 games with the San Antonio Rampage during the 2018-19 season.

Getting Ahead

The Moose have been able to parley early goals into wins this season. When they tally the first goal of the game, the team is a superb 9-0-0-0 on the season. The Moose have been able to lock their opponents down this season and currently sit at 7-1-0-0 when leading after the first period and are 9-0-0-0 when up after 40 minutes of play. Manitoba is also a perfect 3-0-0-0 when tied after the first period of play. Cole Perfetti leads the Moose with two ‘first goals’ on the season.

Keeping on Pace

Forward Evan Polei tallied a goal and an assist in last night’s win. It was the ninth multi-point game of his AHL career. With the two point effort, Polei matched his 15-game point total from last season. His six points (2G, 4A) in 17 games work out to a .35 points per game average, just off his 2018-19 career high of .38 points per game. Polei’s four assists in 17 games do put him on pace to eclipse his career high of 11 helpers in 53 games during that 2018-19 campaign. The Wetaskiwin, Alta. product has 45 points(19G, 26A) in 137 career AHL games to go with 241 penalty minutes.

Central to the Point

With their matchups against the Stars this weekend, the Moose have faced off against all their Central Division opponents. In 14 games against the Central Division thus far, Cole Perfetti (5G, 6A) and Austin Poganski (2G, 9A) lead the Moose with 11 points each. Perfetti has only played against Central Division competition this season, while Poganski has all but one of his points against Central teams this season. The Moose are 9-4-1-0 against the Central Division this season, owning the second-most wins among their inter-division opponents.
