By: Frankie Benvenuti | Published: November 3rd 2025

The Manitoba Moose (3-4-2-0) host the Texas Stars (1-5-1-0) for the second time this season on Monday night.  The Moose fell 2-1 to the Stars in overtime yesterday, pushing their point streak to four games. Texas earned its first victory of the season thanks to Artem Shlaine’s overtime marker. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. CT on cjob.com, the Winnipeg Jets App or AHLTV on FloHockey. Action at Canada Life Centre begins at 7 p.m. CT

Shooting Gallery

The Moose have made a habit of out-shooting their opposition to start the 2025-26 season. Through nine games, they’ve outdone their opponent on the shot clock seven times, including in five of their past six contests. They have gone over 30 shots six times, and allowed fewer than 30 on an equal number of occasions. Phil Di Giuseppe leads the Moose with 36 attempts on goal, tied for the most in the league with Hershey Bears’ forward Graeme Clarke. Mason Shaw and Danny Zhilkin round out the top three with 27 and 25, respectively. Unfortunately for Manitoba, the team holds a 1-3-2-0 record when outshooting its opposition.

Back-to-Back fun

It’s the fourth time the Moose have played a back-to-back this season, and the first time they’ll do it on home ice. They hold a 1-1-1-0 record in their previous games, most recently beating the Tucson Roadrunners 4-3 on Oct. 29. Manitoba has a minus-two goal differential in the second day of back-to-backs. Mason Shaw has four points (1G, 3A) in three games on no days of rest. While neither Moose goalie has played on consecutive days, Domenic DiVincentiis is 1-0-0 in team back-to-backs with a 3.00 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage. Thomas Milic holds a 0-1-1 record with a 3.57 GAA and .863 SV%.

Shaw’s Hot Streak

Mason Shaw’s name is showing up on the scoresheet consistently. In his previous six contests, Manitoba’s captain has five points (1G, 4A), including a multi-point (1G, 1A) game on Oct. 29 against the Tucson Roadrunners. He currently features a modest two-game point streak with three points (1G, 2A) in that span. Shaw has 15 shots on goal in his past four games, owning a plus-four rating in the meantime. The 26-year-old led the Moose with 37 points (17G, 20A) a season ago, and is currently tied for second on the club.

Milly Magic

Thomas Milic has had a pair of strong performances against the Tucson Roadrunners and Texas Stars this week. The young netminder owns a .962 save percentage and a 0.99 goals-against average in the two games, including a shutout on Oct. 28. He stopped all 26 shots he faced, blanking the Roadrunners en route to a 2-0 win, his first of the season. Milic has turned in a .912 SV% and 2.27 GAA in his first four starts of the year, allowing nine goals on 102 shots. The New Westminster, BC. native was a fifth-round pick (151st overall) of the Winnipeg Jets.

Who's Trending?

Kale Clague has been an important offensive contributor for the Moose in the past couple of outings. He has a pair of goals and an assist, including the game-tying goal in the third period of yesterday’s contest against the Texas Stars. Clague has four points (2G, 2A) through eight games in his first season in antlers.
