The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team recalled goaltender Oskari Salminen from the Manitoba Moose on an emergency basis. The Jets also reassigned defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin from the OHL's Flint Firebirds to the Moose.

Salminen, 23, appeared in 39 games with the Moose and put together a record of 18-13-6. That mark was supported by a 3.06 goals-against average and .896 save percentage over the course of his first AHL campaign. The Kotka, Finland product also registered two shutouts and finished the regular season seventh in wins among AHL rookie netminders.

Kuzmin, 19, recorded 59 points (14G, 45A) in 65 games with Flint this season to lead the club's blueliners. The Jets third round pick in 2021 led the Firebirds with eight points (1G, 7A) in seven playoff games. Kuzmin registered 103 points (32G, 71A) in 122 career OHL contests.

The Moose begin their quest for the Calder Cup on Friday, April 28 with a 7 p.m. CT puck drop for Game 1 of the Central Division Semifinals. Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. CT.
