Jets Reassign Seven to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team reassigned forwards Mikey Eyssimont and Kristian Reichel to the Moose. The Jets also reassigned defencemen Declan Chisholm, Leon Gawanke, Johnathan Kovacevic and Ville Heinola as well as goaltender Mikhail Berdin to the Moose.

Eyssimont, 25, has 14 points (6G, 8A) in 25 games with the Moose this season. The Littleton, Colo. product has appeared in 187 career AHL games split between the Ontario Reign and Moose. Eyssimont has 80 points (37G, 43A) in those contests. The winger was a fifth round pick, 142nd overall, of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2016 NHL Draft.

Reichel, 23, has 12 points (5G, 7A) in 25 games with the Moose this season. The Litvinov, Czech Republic native is in his fourth season of professional hockey in North America, recording 51 points (25G, 26A) in 148 AHL games. Reichel made his NHL debut with the Jets on Dec. 19/21 where he played 4:27. His first NHL goal was scored on Jan. 2/22 against the Vegas Golden Knights in a 5-4 overtime win. Reichel is the son of long-time NHL’er, Robert Reichel, and the cousin of Chicago Blackhawks first round pick, Lukas Reichel.

Chisholm, 22, has 15 points (6G, 9A) in 30 games with the Moose this campaign. The Bowmanville, Ont. product made his NHL debut with the Jets on Jan. 13, tallying four shots on goal in 13:44 of ice time. Chisholm has 28 points (8G, 20A) in 58 career AHL contests. He was a fifth round pick, 150th overall, of the Jets in the 2018 NHL Draft.

Gawanke, 22, has 19 points (5G, 14A) in 32 games with the Moose this season. The Berlin, Germany. product has appeared in 106 AHL games with Manitoba and recorded 52 points (10G, 42A) in those contests. Gawanke’s 19 points currently rank the defenceman second on the Moose this season. The blueliner was a fifth round selection, 136th overall, of the Jets in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Kovacevic, 24, has 14 points (7G, 7A) in 32 games with the Moose this season. The Grimsby, Ont. product has appeared in 107 AHL games with Manitoba and recorded 42 points (14G, 28A) in those contests. Kovacevic’s seven goals on the season are currently tied for the AHL lead among defencemen. The blueliner was a third round selection, 74thth overall, of the Jets in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Heinola, 20, has 16 points (2G, 14A) in 24 AHL games this season. The Honkajoki, Fin. product has 28 points (6G, 22A) in 46 career AHL games. In 17 NHL games, the defender has five points (1G, 4A). Heinola was the Jets first round pick, 20th overall, in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Berdin, 23, has appeared in 17 games for the Moose this season. The netminder has a record of 10-7-0 with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage along with three shutouts, which is a new career-high. Berdin was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the sixth round in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
