Moose Announce Roster Moves

The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today the team has reassigned defenceman Justin Woods to its ECHL affiliate, the Jacksonville Icemen.  The Moose also released forward Brent Pedersen from his professional tryout.

Woods, 25, has one assist in nine games with the Moose, and 17 points (7G, 10A) in 33 games for Jacksonville this season.  The Fairbanks, Alaska native completed his NCAA eligibility in 2017-18 after posting 47 points (18G, 29A) and 105 penalty minutes in 133 games with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.

Pedersen, 23, appeared in 27 games with the Moose while scoring four goals and adding one assist.  The former Carolina Hurricanes draft pick recorded 22 points (7G, 15A) in 22 games with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears earlier this season.  The Arthur, Ont. product previously played three seasons of Canadian USports hockey with Laurentian University, totaling 59 points (27G, 32A) in 76 games.

The Moose continue their six-game road trip through Eastern Canada with matchups against the Belleville Senators on Friday and Saturday.  Tune in to both games on moosehockey.com, the Moose App and AHLTV starting at 5:45 p.m. CT.  Saturday's game will air on TSN 1290.
