Jets Reassign Defenceman Gawanke to Taxi Squad

The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team reassigned defenceman Leon Gawanke from the Manitoba Moose to the Taxi Squad.

Gawanke, 22, has 19 points (5G, 14A) in 32 games with the Moose this season. The Berlin, Germany. product has appeared in 106 AHL games with Manitoba and recorded 52 points (10G, 42A) in those contests. Gawanke's 19 points currently rank the defenceman second on the Moose this season. The blueliner was a fifth round selection, 136th overall, of the Jets in the 2017 NHL Draft.
