Moose Release Welychka

Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today the team has released forward Brett Welychka from his amateur tryout agreement.

Welychka, 24, tallied two points (1G, 1A) in his eight-game stint with the Moose.  Prior to making his professional debut, Welychka suited up for the Carleton University Ravens (USports) this season, posting 31 points (12G, 19A) in 28 games.  In three seasons at Carleton, the London, Ont. native racked up 98 points (36G, 62A) in 72 games.

The Moose close out the regular season with three road games this week.  The swing starts in Cleveland on Thursday in a game that can be heard on TSN 1290 and at moosehockey.com/listenlive starting at 5:45 p.m. CT.
