2021-22 AHL SEASON FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When does the 2021-22 season start?

We are expecting and planning that the 2021-22 AHL season will follow traditional timelines with the regular season beginning on October 15, 2021. We expect more specific information regarding the schedule to be released from the AHL in the coming weeks.

How many games will the 2021-22 season have?

The 2021-22 season will be comprised of 36 regular season home games. We expect more specific information regarding the schedule to be released from the AHL in the coming weeks.

What will the venue capacity be for the 2021-22 season?

Based on the current provincial trends related to vaccination rates, we are preparing and planning for a full 72-game regular schedule, with full or near-full capacity, for the 2021-22 season. We are continuing to work with the province to better understand whether there will be any conditions placed on our ability to operate the venue at full capacity. What will the gameday and guest experience be like at Canada Life Centre for the 2021-22 season?

Based on the current provincial trends related to vaccination rates, we are anticipating that we will be able to welcome fans back into Canada Life Centre for the 2021-22 season. We have not yet received specific guidance from the province on conditions or restrictions that could remain in place. In particular, we do not yet know:

  • Whether there will be a requirement to be fully vaccinated to attend games and/or events;
  • Whether you will be required to show proof of full vaccination;
  • Whether you will be required to wear masks, with or without, proof of full vaccination;
  • Whether there will be capacity limits and physical distancing requirements;
  • Whether further screening measures will be required upon entry (i.e. prescreening, contact tracing);
  • Whether there will be limitations or conditions related to the consumption of food/alcohol;
  • What considerations will be for fans under the age of 12 (who presently are not eligible for vaccination).

Regardless of any restrictions or conditions placed on attending events/games, True North remains committed to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all guests. Continuous improvement has always been key to True North’s commitment to providing a superior guest experience and remains integral to our adaptability as pandemic, health and sanitation guidelines and best practices continue to evolve.

Here are some examples of how we are taking steps to ensure your experience at Canada Life Centre will be safe and enjoyable:

  • Canada Life Centre is now accredited by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, which certifies our readiness to prevent and manage outbreaks and pandemics through the presence of best practice preparation, response and recovery protocols including stringent cleaning and disinfection (read more);
  • There are over 100 hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue;
  • There is contactless security screening upon entry;
  • Cashless transactions will be available at points of purchase;
  • Employees will receive additional training to ensure top safety and sanitation measures are applied at all times;
  • Employees will be fully vaccinated and subject to rigorous gameday/event day health screening measures.

Will I need to wear a mask to attend Manitoba Moose games for the 2021-22 season?

Will children be permitted to attend games?

It is our expectation that based on current provincial trends, children will be permitted to attend games and/or events. We don’t yet know whether there will be any conditions placed by health authorities on children attending games and/or events (i.e., requirements related to vaccination status, masks, etc.). Will I need a COVID-19 vaccine to attend Manitoba Moose games for the 2021-22 season?

That information has yet to be determined at this time. We will follow recommendations from health authorities to ensure everyone’s safety.

What happens to the seats I had during the 2019-20 Manitoba Moose season?

Your seats that were up for renewal in March 2020 for the 2020-21 season will be the same seats you can renew for the 2021-22 season.

What happens to my account credit from the 2019-20 season?

If you paid in full or had a partial account credit from the cancelled games due to Covid-19, we will roll it over to the 2021-22 season and apply it to the invoice for 2021-22.

If I would like to renew my seats for the 2021-22 season what do I do?

You can renew your seats for the 2021-22 season by logging into your Manitoba Moose Account and selecting a payment plan that works best for you.

What if I renew my seats for the 2021-22 season and it is delayed or postponed?

At this time, we anticipate a return to regular programming and in person attendance for the 2021-22 season. In the event the season is postponed or cancelled, we will provide options at that time, including a refund.

If I have credit on my account, but do not plan on renewing my seats for the 2021-22 season, can I get my credit refunded back to me?

Yes, if you choose not to renew your seats for the 2021-22 season, you can request a refund of the credit on your account by contacting your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative. Please note: if you choose to opt out of renewing for the 2021-22 season you will lose the 2020-21 credit rollover bonus and will not qualify for the AHLTV home pass subscription.

You can also choose to not renew and leave the credit on account for future use including renew at a later date or use towards individual game tickets for the 2021-22 season.

What are my options for ticket packages for the 2021-22 season?

You can purchase full season (36 regular season plus the first four playoff games), 12 game packs (choose 1 of 4 eight game packs plus a 4 game prime pack that consists of the four most desired promotional games of the season) or Flex Packs – for full details including Manitoba Moose seat holder benefits please visit: MooseHockey.com/PACKAGES

Have package prices increased for the 2021-22 season? 

The Manitoba Moose Seat Holder pricing will remain the same as what was communicated during the 2020-21 renewal campaign:
P1 – $27.50, P2 – $22, P3 – $16.50

Is there an additional cost to alter my ticket package or relocate my seats?

Yes and No?

No – you will not incur any additional costs for altering your package or relocating seats within the same price category ie. Move from P2 seats to alternate P2 seats.

Will I have to make a payment immediately when I renew my seats?

No, existing Manitoba Moose seat holders who renew their account will not be required to make a deposit at this time. Your first payment will be processed on or about April 1, 2021.

If you have an account credit from the 2019-20 season, the deposit will be deducted from the total amount owed, and the remaining balance will be applied to the payment plan of your choice.

If I am a NEW seat holder for the 2021-22 season do I have to make a deposit?

If you are a new Manitoba Moose seat holder purchasing a full season or mini pack for the 2021-22 Moose season, you will be required to make a minimum 10% deposit at the time of purchase. The deposit will be deducted from the total amount owed, and the remaining balance will be applied to the payment plan of your choice.

What payment options do I have when I renew my seats for the 2021-22 season?

Account credits will be applied to the balance owing prior to the first payment processed on or around April 1, 2021.

  • Pay in Full (Credit Card/Direct Withdrawal) – April 1, 2021
  • Monthly Payment Plan – The Moose monthly payment plan for Full Season and Mini-Packs is spread out over 12 months (April 1, 2021 – March 1, 2022). For Flex Packs the payment plan is spread over 7 months (April 1, 2021 – October 1, 2021) Please note there is a 2% administration fee applied to all monthly payment plans.
  • Installment Payments (Credit Card/Direct Withdrawal)

Please note: if you select a Direct Withdrawal option, you will be able to enter your banking information during the payment plan confirmation process. Alternatively, you can also provide a direct withdrawal statement from your bank, or a void cheque to process payments directly from your bank account.

Why do I have to select a payment plan again?

This will ensure you select the payment plan option that works best for you at this time, and that we have the most up-to-date payment type on file (Credit Card/Direct Withdrawal)

Can I upgrade from a Mini Pack to a Full Season Package and still keep my same seat?

Yes, however you cannot perform this function online. You must call your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative if you wish to upgrade your Mini Pack to a Full Season Package. To contact your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative please email service@moosehockey.com

Can I downgrade from a Full Season Package to a Mini Pack and still keep my same seat?

Yes, however, the likelihood of keeping your same seat will be subject to Full Season Seat Holders who wish to purchase your seat location for a Full Season Package. In the event this occurs, you will be required to relocate to a different seat location. This applies to all Mini Pack holders. Full Season Seat holders will be given the opportunity to relocate into a seat held by a Mini Pack Holder – however if the current Mini Pack holder chooses to renew or upgrade to a Full Season, they will retain priority of that seat location.

Also, please note that you must call your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative if you wish to change from a Full Season to a Mini Pack as you cannot perform this function online. Your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative can be contacted at service@moosehockey.com

Can I add or remove seats on my account?

If you wish to increase or decrease the number of seats on your account, you must call your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative. I want to relocate to wheelchair seating. Can I do this online?

If you wish to increase or decrease the number of seats on your account, you must call your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative. How is a Manitoba Moose 12 game Mini Pack constructed?

You will be able to choose your games from one of four eight (8) game packs plus the Prime Package.

The Prime Package is built with the four most popular games of the season – including the Home Opener and three other anticipated promotional games – in the past this has included New Year’s Eve, Louis Riel Day and the Fan Appreciation game.

How will I select my regular season seat(s) included in the Prime Package?

You cannot choose seats for the Prime Package as part of the relocation process. At this time, the only way to guarantee your seats for the Prime Package is to purchase a 2021-22 Full Season Package.

The Prime Package will be announced shortly after the release of the 2021-22 AHL schedule (expected to be released summer of 2021).

Once the schedule is released, we will place seats for the Prime Package in your account – we will do our best to keep the same seats as you have with the 8-game package, if we are not able to accommodate, we will do our best to select similar seats.

What is a Flex Pack?

A Flex Package can be purchased in denominations of 10 digital ticket vouchers that would be accessible in your Manitoba Moose Account.

You will be able to redeem the vouchers in any amount for any game within the price category of the vouchers purchased (based on availability). You can also purchase additional blocks of 10 digital vouchers at any time during the season.

When can I relocate?

Full Season
First you must renew your current seats online. Once you have renewed you can contact your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative to indicate you would like to relocate your seats. Mini Packs
You will have to renew your seats and then when the four nine-game Mini Pack options have been released you can contact your Manitoba Moose Account Service Representative and they will be able to provide options based on your request and available inventory. What are mobile tickets?

Mobile tickets are the universal method of entry for all Manitoba Moose games at Canada Life Centre.

Mobile Ticketing provides a safe and convenient way to access Canada Life Centre and distribute your seats to friends, family and others. Many businesses and industries have transitioned to mobile platforms including banking, ordering groceries, travel and adding your Manitoba Moose tickets to the list is a natural fit.

What if I have a conflict with my schedule and there is a game in my package that I am not able to attend?

You have several options available to ensure your tickets are used!

  • Ticket trade – You will be able to trade tickets prior to a game you cannot attend for a game you can attend; this allows you flexibility by attending games that are not included in your package or having multiple seats for a game you can attend.   • Donate – You will be able to donate seats to games you are not able to attend. The tickets will be donated to a youth serving association that is partnered with the True North Youth Foundation.   • Ticket Forwarding – You will be able to forward seats to friends, family, staff or clients without physically distributing tickets. When the Mini Pack schedule is released, will I be able to change to a different package if my current selection does not work for my schedule?

Yes, currently we anticipate communicating the four Mini Pack options for the 2021-22 season to all Mini Pack holders in the summer of 2021. If the Mini Pack option you initially selected does not work for your schedule, you will have the opportunity to choose the Mini Pack that best fits your needs.
