Phinney assigned to Jacksonville

Winnipeg, MB – The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club, in conjunction with its ECHL affiliate, the Jacksonville Icemen, announced today the team has assigned goaltender Colton Phinney to the Icemen.

Phinney, 24, signed as a free agent with the Moose this summer following his collegiate career at Princeton University.  The Chatham, NJ product posted a 14-16-3 record with a 3.06 GAA and 0.908 SV% in 33 games with the Tigers last season.

The Moose face off against the Iowa Wild in pre-season action this weekend.  Friday night’s game goes in Grand Forks, ND at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.  Saturday’s contest takes place in Fargo, ND at Scheels Arena.  Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Manitoba Moose Home Opener is quickly approaching.  The Moose face off against the Cleveland Monsters at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 13.  Tickets are available at moosehockey.com/tickets.
