The Manitoba Moose open the weekend with a dust-up against the Calgary Wranglers at Canada Life Centre tonight (7 p.m.). The two teams matched up up in Calgary last week with the clubs splitting their two-game set. The Moose are coming off a 4-3 loss to Milwaukee on Monday while the Wranglers dropped a 3-2 overtime decision in Abbotsford their previous time out. Tickets for tonight's game are available at MooseHockey.com/TICKETS.

Points for Parker

Parker Ford picked up a pair of points (1G, 1A) in Manitoba’s contest against Milwaukee. The forward, who signed a two-year entry-level contract with Winnipeg in 2023, has now tallied four multi-point outings this season and has produced 23 points (9G, 14A) through 47 games. The winger is one of six Moose skaters this season to reach the 20-plus point plateau and ranks fifth in overall team scoring. The Wakefield, RI. product’s three game-winning goals also tie him for the team lead alongside fellow forward C.J. Suess.

Closing In

Kristian Reichel scored a goal in Manitoba’s most recent contest. The Litvinov, Czech Republic native’s tally was his 11th of the season, which places him one shy of his previous career-high of 12 that he achieved in 2019-20. It’s the second time in his AHL career that Reichel has broken the double-digit goal mark and the forward currently has 18 points (11G, 7A) through 46 games. The centre, whose pair of shorthanded goals pace the Moose, is currently inching closer to multiple career milestones. Reichel is six points away from 100 and sits both five goals and one assist shy of 50 total over his AHL career. The forward is also six points away from matching his career-high that was set during the 2022-23 season.

Simon Says

Simon Lundmark posted a goal on Monday afternoon. The goal went down as Lundmark’s first AHL power play goal. The defenceman, a 2019 Winnipeg Jets second round selection, is now up to eight points (2G, 6A) through 42 games and is two goals shy of matching his previous career-high of four that was registered in 2021-22. Lundmark ranks second on the squad with a plus-three rating through the month of February. The Stockholm, Sweden product has notched 39 points (9G, 30A) through 163 AHL contests, all with Manitoba.

The Axe Man Cometh

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby registered a power play assist on Monday  against Milwaukee. The assist gives the forward six points (3G, 3A) in 16 contests this season. Over his Moose tenure, the winger has notched 10 points (6G, 4A) in 20 contests. The Stockholm, Sweden native is closing in on a milestone and is four goals away from posting 50 in his AHL career. Jonsson-Fjallby has produced 85 total points (46G, 39A) in 172 games split between Hershey and Manitoba.

Who's Trending?

Kyle Capobianco recorded an assist on Monday against Milwaukee. The defenceman, who recently skated in his 200th AHL contest, paces the Moose with 35 points (7G, 28A) through 45 games. The Mississauga, Ont. product also leads Manitoba with a plus-11 rating. The defenders 28th assist matches his previous career-high that was set in 2017-18.
