The Manitoba Moose open a three-game road trip through Eastern Canada tonight against the Belleville Senators. The teams previously clashed on Sunday with Belleville scoring a late power play goal to snag a 2-1 win. Nikita Chibrikov scored the lone Moose goal in the loss. Roster Moves

The Winnipeg Jets loaned forward Rasmus Kupari to the Manitoba Moose for conditioning purposes yesterday. Kupari posted one assist in 15 games with Winnipeg this season. The forward has 145 games of NHL experience split between Winnipeg and the Los Angeles Kings, recording 30 points (9G, 21A) over 145 contests. The Kotka, Finland native has suited up in the AHL for the Ontario Reign and tallied 48 points (24G, 24A) in 85 games. Manitoba also announced the team signed forward Brett Kemp to a professional tryout. Kemp has 17 points (5G, 12A) in 13 games with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits this season. The pivot also posted five points (1G, 4A) in 14 AHL contests for the San Jose Barracuda. The Yorkton, Sask. product has played in 20 career AHL contests split between San Jose and the Ontario Reign, totalling six points (1G, 5A).

Century Mark

Dean Stewart suited up in his 100th career AHL game when the Moose faced the Senators on Sunday. The defenceman, who re-signed a one-year contract with Manitoba in 2023, has tallied a pair of assists in 19 games this season and sits sixth on the blue line with 22 shots on goal. Stewart, who was named Manitoba’s 2023 Rookie of the Year award winner, has notched 29 points (2G, 27A) over his AHL career, all with Manitoba.

Finding Twine

Nikita Chibrikov scored his 10th goal of the season in Manitoba’s Sunday afternoon contest. With the tally, the forward is now the second Moose skater, after Brad Lambert, to hit the double-digit goal plateau this season. Chibrikov, a 2021 Winnipeg second round selection, has recorded four points (1G, 4A) over his past five games and co-leads the Moose in scoring with 24 points (10G, 14A) through 28 contests. The Moscow, Russia product also co-leads the Moose with four goals on the power play and is tied for sixth in the AHL rookie scoring race.

Coming Along

Parker Ford recorded an assist in Manitoba’s most recent game. The winger, who inked a two-year entry-level contract with Winnipeg in 2023, has tallied seven points (4G, 3A) over his past 10 contests. The  Wakefield, RI. product has notched 14 points (7G, 7A) in 29 games this campaign and has registered at least one shot in all but two of the contests he’s appeared in. Ford ranks third in Moose rookie scoring and is tied for the overall team lead, alongside C.J. Suess, with three game-winning tallies.

Kyle Capobianco tallied an assist on Sunday. The defenceman has recorded 22 points (6G, 16A) through 27 games and is two points off the overall team scoring lead. Capobianco ranks 11th overall in AHL defenceman scoring and is the only Moose blue liner this season to have registered at least one goal on both the power play and when shorthanded.
