The Manitoba Moose host the Texas Stars in a rematch of last night's 7-3 Moose win. Kristian Reichel (2G, 1A) and Kyle Capobianco (1G, 2A) led the way offensively with three points each. The Moose roster featured 14 of 18 skaters recording a point in the game.

Milestone Night

Kristian Reichel posted a trio of points (2G, 1A) in Manitoba’s win over Texas. The centre, who re-signed a two-year contract with Winnipeg in 2022, notched his first career AHL three-point contest and has tallied eight points (5G, 3A) over his past 10 contests. The Litvinov, Czech Republic native also set a new-career high with his 13th goal of the campaign, eclipsing the 12 he had previously scored in the 2019-20 season. Reichel also notched his 50th career assist in the victory. The forward is closing in on 100 career AHL points and has registered a97 points (47G, 50A) in 263 total games.

Capping the Night Off

Kyle Capobianco notched three points (1G, 2A) in yesterday’s home victory. The defenceman, who inked a two-year contract with Winnipeg in 2022, leads the Moose with five games tallying at least three points. The Mississauga, Ont. product also leads Manitoba in scoring this season with 39 points (8G, 31A) and a team-leading plus-16 rating through 48 games. The defenceman is currently two goals shy of matching his previous career-high of 10 tallies that he notched in 2019-20. Capobianco finds himself tied for second in scoring among all AHL defenders and has accumulated 151 points (29G, 122A) in 203 career contests.

Ford Fanatic

Parker Ford posted a pair of points (1G, 1A) in Manitoba’s contest on Saturday. The winger’s goal was his 10th of the campaign and makes the forward the sixth skater to reach the double-digit point plateau this season. Ford, who signed a two-year entry-level contract with Winnipeg in 2023, has tallied four points (2G, 2A) his past five contests and has 25 points (10G, 15A) through 50 games. The forward is fifth in Moose scoring and ranks third among the club’s rookies in terms of points. The Wakefield, RI. product also paces the Moose with four game-winning goals this season, which ties him for 20th in the AHL.

Picking Up the Pace

Dominic Toninato notched a third period assist yesterday against Texas. The forward’s assist gives Toninato points in consecutive contests and 10 points (3G, 7A) in 16 contests. The forward, who re-signed a two-year contract with Winnipeg in 2023, is the 12th member of the Moose this season to reach the 10-point plateau and did so for the fourth time in his AHL career. The Duluth, Minn. product’s assist also inches him closer to an AHL milestone. The forward has notched 98 points (51G, 47A) in 174 games split between San Antonio, Colorado, Springfield and Manitoba.

Dawson Barteaux notched a pair of assists in Manitoba’s win yesterday. The defenceman, a former 2018 Dallas Stars selection, has tallied  eight points (4G, 4A) through 23 contests. When the defender finds his way onto the scoresheet over this campaign, the team has a mark of 4-0-0-1. The defender has 13 points (6G, 7A) in 80 career AHL contests.
