The Admirals dropped their past three games following a 19-game winning streak. Milwaukee claimed a pair of wins in Winnipeg back on Feb. 17 and 19. Offensive Barrage

The Moose come into tonight’s game having won three consecutive games on the strength of an offensive outburst. The team scored 17 goals over the trio of contests, an average of 5.7 tallies per outing. The winning streak also represents the most goals scored by the Moose in three games this season. It’s the club’s fourth three-game win streak of the campaign. Manitoba recorded six and seven goals its past two games, marking the fourth and fifth times this season the team struck at least six times. It’s the first time this season the Moose have scored four or more goals in consecutive games.

Roster Moves

The Winnipeg Jets announced the team reassigned defenceman Dmitry Kuzmin from the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals to the Manitoba Moose. The defender has appeared in 10 contests for the Moose this season and posted a pair of assists. Kuzmin, who is in the midst of his first professional campaign, has also registered seven points (2G, 5A) through 21 ECHL games with Norfolk. The Kholstovo, Belarus native was a third-round pick (82nd overall) of the Jets in the 2021 NHL Draft.

Making History

Jeff Malott posted three points (1G, 2A) in Sunday’s home victory against Texas. The three-point outing was the winger’s first of the season and fourth overall in his AHL career. The outburst gives the forward six points (3G, 3A) over his past five contests. Malott has now jumped into third in Moose scoring with 34 points (13G, 21A) in 50 contests. In addition, the Waterdown, Ont. product’s goal on Sunday was the 73rd of his Manitoba career, which vaults him over Eric O’Dell and places him into sole possession of seventh on the franchise leaderboard. Malott has registered 139 points (73G, 66A) in 217 contests, all with the Moose.

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby notched a trio of points (2G, 1A) in Manitoba’s most recent win. The winger, a former 2016 Washington fifth round pick, has now tallied 12 points (7G, 5A) in 20 games. The second marker the forward scored on Sunday was the 50th of his AHL career. Jonsson-Fjallby, who potted his second game-winning goal of the campaign in the 6-2 victory, is also closing in on another AHL milestone and has tallied 91 total points (50G, 41A) in 176 games split between Hershey and Manitoba.
