The Moose and Texas Stars face off tonight to play their rematch from Monday's 4-1 Manitoba victory. The clubs had a day off game action yesterday as the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche met up at Bell MTS Place. When the Moose and Stars went to work on Remembrance Day, it was a similar story for the Moose as they claimed their third straight win.

The power play got things going, the team got contributions up and down the lineup and Mikhail Berdin was stellar. Berdin made 32 saves on 33 shots, and has stopped 99 of 100 in his past three games. The Ufa, Russia product was named the game's first star, again, and nearly scored a goal in the late stages of the contest. The recently dominant netminder was asked how he was handling the load of starting 12 of 14 games.

"I had a really good summer. I didn't spend a lot of time on the ice, I spend a lot of time working out. I feel fresh, I have like... energy," said Berdin following Monday's victory. "I miss hockey a lot in the summer because it's a big pause. I want to keep playing and playing. I want to play back-to-back every day."

The Moose see a key part of their lineup extracted tonight as Michael Spacek earned a recall to the Winnipeg Jets. Spacek has seven points (3G, 4A) in 14 games with the Moose this season. It remains to be seen whether or not the third-year pro will get into a game with the Jets. If he does, Spacek will become the fifth player from the 2015 Winnipeg Jets draft class to play in the NHL. That group includes Kyle Connor, Jack Roslovic, Mason Appleton and Sami Niku. All those players have appeared a significant number of games with the Moose.

"He's become a dominant player in our league. He's a number one centre," said Moose assistant coach Marty Johnston. "His feet are right, his battle level is right and we're certainly very happy for the opportunity he's been given."

With Spacek going up, that creates more opportunity for players like Cole Maier and Nathan Todd up the middle. It also means the Moose will have to shuffle things up on the power play. Spacek scored the team's power play goal on Monday and factored heavily into how his unit moved the puck.

On the other side of things, the Texas Stars had plenty to build off on Monday despite losing the game. They outshot the Moose and carried the play for much of the second half of the contest. It came down to a 4:23 span in the first the Moose were able to score three times in. Texas features a young lineup and has been prone to momentary lapses like that Manitoba blitz. The Stars also saw a member of their forward group recalled in between games with Nick Caamano heading to the Stars.

The Moose and Stars drop the puck at 7 p.m. at Bell MTS Place. Tickets are available at moosehockey.com/tickets. You can also catch the game on TSN 1290, moosehockey.com/listenlive and AHLTV.
