Game Story
The Manitoba Moose (24-33-4-5) and Milwaukee Admirals (38-21-3-3) had the AHL stage to themselves as the league’s lone matchup on Thursday night.  All the scoring in the first frame came in a span of 1:51.  Frederick Gaudreau opened the scoring for the Admirals, finding a loose puck and snapping it to the back of the net with 5:20 left in the opening frame.  Just 58 seconds later, Stephen Perfetto put Milwaukee up 2-0, winning a battle for the puck in front of Moose netminder Eric Comrie.  Manitoba got one goal back 53 seconds later when Kyle Connor picked the far top corner with a pretty backhand to leave the score at 2-1 after 20 minutes.

The Milwaukee powerplay stayed hot in the second period.  Pontus Aberg restored the two-goal advantage with a rocket one-timer 1:02 into the frame.  Mike Ribeiro gave the Admirals a three-goal edge with the visitors’ third marker of the evening on the man advantage.  Perfetto added his second of the game 20 seconds later with a blistering shot just under the crossbar.  The score held as Milwaukee carried the 5-1 lead into the third.

The Moose thought they had their second goal of the night early in the third, but JC Lipon’s tap in of a loose puck was negated by the play being blown dead.  Hot on the heels of that play, Darren Kramer was opened up with a breakaway feed from Peter Stoykewych.  Kramer buried a wrister to bring Manitoba back within three, 2:46 into the period.  The Admirals added one more with Ribeiro tallying his second of the night into an empty net as Milwaukee came away with the 6-2 victory.

Quotable
Head Coach Pascal Vincent – "They have four guys over forty points, not counting Mike Ribeiro. They have two (defencemen) over thirty points. That's an offensive team. They won the game on their powerplay, scored three goals on their powerplay.  We've got to block some shots; we have to do a better job there for sure, but we worked hard.  We battled hard until the end.  We had good scoring chances.  We didn't finish."
