The Winnipeg Jets announced today the team loaned defenceman Ville Heinola to the Manitoba Moose.

Heinola, 22, hasn't played a game yet during the regular season due to an injury suffered in pre-season action. The Honkajoki, Finland product posted 37 points (4G, 33A) in 48 games with the Moose during the 2022-23 season, as well as one assist in 10 NHL games with Winnipeg. Heinola has appeared in 111 career AHL games, all with Manitoba, while recording 75 points (13G, 62A). He ranks 12th in franchise history in points for a defenceman. Heinola also has 11 points (1G, 10A) in 35 games of NHL experience with Winnipeg.

Heinola was a first round pick (20th overall) of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2019 NHL Draft.

The Moose face off against the Laval Rocket on Friday at Place Bell in a 6 p.m. CT matchup. Catch the action on CJOB.com/sports, the Winnipeg Jets App and AHLTV.
